Ivonete

Ivonete Henriques is known to have been born in Alto do Moura, a neighbourhood in the town of Caruaru, Pernambuco State, and belonged to the second generation of the local artists, individually recognised. She grew up in an environment totally focused on the production of ceramics, and attributed her interest in the work to the close contact she had in her childhood with the daughters of Vitalino and Zé Caboclo. She and her husband Zé Henriques shared many productions, especially painting the figures. She died prematurely in Porto Seguro, Bahia, in 2000.
